If you only fast for 10 hours before a blood test you are suppose to fast for 12 hours, will that be a problem

my husband is having a chlorestol test at 845 tomorrow morning. We forgot about it until about 10:15 tonite. He is suppose to fast for 12 hours. If he goes in the fasting would only be about 10 1/2 hours. Will this be a problem? Probably not most of the time they do like you to fast for 12 but alot of the time 10 to 12 is good. As long as he dosen't hane anything in the morning except water he should be fine, just let the doctor or lab tech know that you forgot and what time he last ate and what he had and they'll make that choice. But he should be fine.
Probably not but you need to tell the doctor. That way they can "interpret" the results more accurately. Otherwise, you may (or may not) get any medication you may need!
