If i fry something in a little bit of butter, is it unhealthy?

i want to know coz i need to cook a meal for hypertension.
the recipe i have is fried chicken (not deep fry) with baked potatos and a salad.
is the chicken unhealthy coz its fried in butter?
plz tell me, plz no stupid comments. If i fry something in a little bit of butter, is it unhealthy?
essentially it is not as good for you. For a person with hypertension you should cook the chicken in a non stick pan or use a tiny amount of olive oil.
Dont use butter- it is the worst of the cooking lubricants.
not a good idea. chicken needs to be fried at a higher temperature. butter burns at a low temperature. peanut oil would be a great way to go as it has a much higher burn temperature. barring that crisco is the standard for frying chicken.
My friend used to make her "fried" chicken in the oven. She would roll the pieces in in the flour mixture and then lay them on a cookie sheet that had olive oil rubbed on it with a paper towel. Then she baked it turning in once halfway through the baking time (1 hour at 350 degrees) Chicken has enough natural fat in it that it will moisten the coating itself, kind of like ShakeNBake chicken does. It was tasty. And you only use enough olive oil to keep the meat from sticking to your cookie sheet.
However, I have fried chicken before using butter by melting shortning first to fry the chicken in and then adding just a little butter to the shortning to add flavor. If you tried to fry it in all butter, the temp would not work in your favor.
Best wishes!
