I heard you do. Then I heard you aren't but you inflame the area and cause fluid to increase the size. Who is correst? If I pop my knuckles for several years am I damaging the cartilage in my fingers?
yes,you will cause i use to but,i don`t any more cause my hand started to hurt a lot.so from someone who did that STOP!!!
if you crack your knuckles it can lead to arthritis !!
they swell and you get inflammatory arthritis =so both are right
my teacher told me it does like pop little like fluid sacks and stuff in ur knuckles
Yes! You do inflame the knuckle. It may not feel that way but that is what you are doing. The bad thing about that habit is you will get arthritis in those joints later on in years. It is better not to get used to doing that!!
No. I always thought so too, but have done research on it and found that the popping is actually the noise of gas being released.
Of course, cracking your knuckles might annoy the heck outta everyone else, but. :>)
It does not cause arthritis! That's just an old wives' tale.
However, it doesn't have very good effects on your hands and can lead to other problems.
Only a handful of studies have been done, so nothing is known 100%, but while it doesn't lead directly to arthritis, who knows what other things it may do to your hands??
When you feel like cracking your knuckles, stop, just bend out your fingers gently instead. ;)
